Colegio Regents

EST. 2000

Colegio Regents started as a home school program within the walls of our Reynosa Orphanage location, for our kids. As Big Heart has grown so has Regents, and It now has three locations and over 500 students.

We have locations in Reynosa, Ramos Arizpe, and Matamoros, with our Reynosa location being open to the public. Our newer campuses in Ramos Arizpe and Matamoros are within the orphanage and only teaching our kids, however our hope and prayer is to one day build a school in both locations that will be open to the public. Our Reynosa school campus is located two blocks from the orphanage and is home to over 500 students offering education from preschool- high school. We function as a Christ centered school that serves the community. Our Curriculum has Spanish and English courses, sports program, arts, literature, technology, science, and math.

 Our Ministries.

  • Christian Education

Our goal is to provide affordable, Christian education (preschool - high school) to our children and the communities that surround us. Growing their relationship with Christ while also preparing our students for their future.

  • Best Night of the Month

Regent’s goal is to not only provide education but to disciple and pour the love of Christ into the children and families that attend their school. Every Friday of the month Regents holds a family night. The parents have a devotional time, and the kids are all split up into groups where they have devotional, snacks, and games. This was started in 2023 with hopes of further discipling and building community within Regents.

  • Community Outreaches

We love to host outreaches at our school. whether it is bringing a medical team to check on the students and parents, hosting a church camp for the students, or hosting food and clothe drives, we are open to any ideas on how to further reach our students, their families and the community that surrounds our school. To see how you can lead your own outreach within one of our three school locations or support our own efforts in reaching the community. Click the link below.

    Serve alongside of us.

  • Family Chapel

Every week we have chapel for the students. In 2023 God placed it on our hearts to disciple the parents of our students and allow them to grow in faith as a family. So, in late 2023 Family Chapel was born. Once a month the parents of our students come and participate in chapel with their children. They get to worship, pray, and learn about God together. Our hopes are that through this God would heal and strengthen families to be a household that serves the Lord.

  • Spark Academy

Our academy aims to give the opportunity to teenagers, young adults and adults of our community in Reynosa, Tamaulipas to learn, practice and get a certificate for Carpentry and Welding, as well as learning a new language through our ESL/ELT courses.

The main goal is to create a safe space for all people with various trades options to acquire and express different skills in any area of their lives (personal, social and professional), allowing them to provide for themselves and their families, avoiding unemployment and expressing cultural and artistic ideas.

  • After School Program

Throughout the school year, we have different after school activities going on throughout the week. We offer soccer and volleyball practices multiple times a week. We hope that through this the kids can learn teamwork, build friendships, and have incredible opportunities to learn and play the sport they love.
